This app was installed on some iPhones and iPads of some users and Facebook was paying them $10 in order for them to download the application. Moreover, another $20 was given to the users to keep the app installed for a month. The main purpose of the application was to collect extensive data from user’s devices.

Facebook used this vulnerability to allow users to download their app while bypassing apple’s review. Teenagers between 13 to 35 were targeted by Facebook and they would be giving data related to location, the content of messages and installed apps on your phone in exchange of money.
